The interactive exhibition Written in Stones uses models, exhibits, animations, and video presentations to tell the story of the Earth’s formation and the Idrija area. It answers many fascinating questions such as:

• Which stone can I draw with, and which one can I find in jewelry?
• How did Earth form?
• Why is the road to Idrija so winding?
• Where are the dinosaur footprints and how did they get there?
• Where should we climb to experience the best views of Idrija?
• Why is the Wild Lake wild?
• Why are there so many tunnels beneath Idrija?
