**Of Threads and Dreams: Inspired by the story Melhiorca in Lace School

The sound of bobbins could be heard as far as the Idrija castle. “Lace, of course!” said our clever smuggler, flashing her teethless grim from ear to ear. This master of prison breaks wanted to learn the secrets of lacemaking, too, and hurried to the lace school. I wonder what adventures wait for her there!

We are celebrating the anniversary of the lacemaking school in Idrija with an exhibition and an intermedia projection. In illustrated scenes and parts of the story, truth meets fiction in this ambient installation, museum exhibits and objects decorated with lace – from socks, bows, and hats to lace animals. The projection opens a door into a fantasy world, combining animation, video, lighting, and music. The exhibition is appropriate for every age and is accessible to persons with disabilities.
