DataBank@futureGARDEN is an installation of three groups of translucent coloured plexiglass panels on special stands. The panels are hand-engraved with motifs of shadow figure, a puzzle of the recycled Earthling, which has been translated into the pattern of Idrija lace and plays with the musings on what it means to not only be a human but and Earthling. The engraved line that bends and twists yet never breaks is a trace creating a plan: the artist’s literal fingerprint that hints at the collective trace of humankind. The combination of three groups of hanging coloured panels represents a garden of our future. The first group stands for curiosity (inspired by the Mars rover); the second for empathy that ties us to the Earth; and the third for the dark, shadow side of the Moon that remains hidden and mysterious to us.
