* LACEMAKING COMPETITION FOR THE IVANKA FERJANČIČ AWARD

10 AM: parade of Idrija Miners’ Wind Band and the competitors from the Idrija Lace School
10.30 AM–11.30 AM: competition at the Trg sv. Ahacija

The heart of the Idrija Lace Festival Sunday programme is the national lacemaking competition for the Ivanka Ferjančič Award.

At 10 AM, a festive parade led by the Idrija Miners’ Wind Band will take the competitors through the town centre to the Trg sv. Ahacija to engage in the competition from 10.30 to 11.30.

Competing on the national level are primary-school students who qualified by achieving the highest scores through preliminary school competitions: this year, we expect over 160 students.
